30 Before 30
On the eve of my 26th birthday, I realized how close I am to 30. Take that thought as you may, but fact of the matter is the four years from age 21 to 25 flew by more quickly than anyone could have ever prepared me for. And I can only guess the next four will go by even more quickly.

Since 30 marks an age where society grooms us to believe we need to “settle down,” I have decided there are certain things that I need to do before exiting my 20s.

Now, without further ado, in no particular order, my personal list of 30 Things To Do Before I Turn 30.

1. Skydiving
2. Visit 4 countries (Mexico and Canada do not count)
          First: El Salvador.

3. Be a published author in a publication with a Byline (not just online)
4. Complete a triathlon
5. Road trip across the US
6. Write a book
7. Land a 360 snowboarding
8. Complete a Project 365
9. Scuba diving license
10. Sustain and survive as a full-time writer not needing a part-time job to pay bills
11. Learn to surf (As in, learn to actually stand on the board)
12. Grad School
13. Win a Fantasy Football league
14. Spend an entire 24 hours without a cellphone or any form of communication (laptop, etc.)
15. Buy myself a classy, designer bag
16. Pay off credit cards
17. Do karaoke. Alone.
18. Learn to ride a motorcycle
19. Burning Man
20. Wakeboarding
21. Host a Thanksgiving dinner
22. Ziplining
23. Find and contribute to a charitable cause that holds significant meaning
24. Throw a drink in someone’s face
25. Blog about a political or current event once a week for 3 months
26. Donate blood
27. Ride an Elephant
28. Explore a new city alone for at least 4 days
29. Get kissed in the rain
30. Get a puppy
